not hanging around

from wasn't the world supposed to end? by joshua jesty

about

like a hero who don't know what you're saving
throw in the towel cause I'm bathing
if you found your path that means you're pathetic
if you're heart seems off it might be prosthetic

you make as much sense
as a rope around my neck

I'm not hanging around, to find out

I knew it would end but really so soon?
still miss saturday morning cartoons
pulling rabbits out of hats oh I know your tricks
go on and lie to me like they do in politics

if you're just a bad idea
or the very worst choice
and if I all I hear
is heaven or just noise

I once heard about a girl who had a moment of fame
came home and got killed in a car crash the next day
just like her you dissappeared and though I've felt worse
I'm kind of jealous I didn't think of pulling that first

cause I already know
